Teacher Day – 5th September

Teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th September every year, since 1962, commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan – a philosopher and a teacher par excellence. Dr. Radhakrishnan believed that “teachers should be the best minds in the country’’.

Teachers play a very important role in developing a person in to a good human being and a responsible citizen of not only the country but also of the world.

Social group members of ISME, Navi Mumbai had organized a teacher’s day celebration on 6th of September. Celebration included few contest and games in which ISME faculties and staff members took active participation.

The first event was a game (passing the parcel), where all faculty members including the director of our institute Prof. Vivek Garg participated in the game. The second activity was extempore. Every faculty was given a topic to speak for 2 minutes. This was a very exciting program. Prof. Jharna spoke very excitedly on her favourite cartoon – Tom and Jerry saying she liked Jerry! The third activity was drawing competition where every faculty member was given an interesting topic to draw on. The winner was Prof. Vivek Garg. After all the activities and entertainment the cake was cut by the faculty. Finally the concluding note was given by Prof. Vivek Garg and Prof. R. M. Surve. It was truly a day to remember for the entire ISME family.
