Sri R K Misra @ ISME

Sri R K Misra, a transformational new-age leader, adjudged being the winner of TOI’s “Lead India” campaign and honoured by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as ‘MahaNayak’ was kind enough to visit ISME campus and address the students of PGDM on “Innovation & Entrepreneurship for New India”.

It was one of the memorable days for the ISMEians to have interacted with the eminent personality of that of Misraji. Sri Misra started the session with questions to students, made students to ask questions, and ended the session with lot more clarity on the topic by permeating the right kind of questions to be asked. For example, he asked a question – how many of Indian cities are ‘net job creators?’ – and by knowing that in reality there are only 3 cities that are creating jobs, students were provoked to ask with every innovative and entrepreneurial venture of theirs – “will this idea create jobs?”

He went onto explain his story of creating and selling three companies successfully and suggested to look for scalability, sustainability, killability (of competition) for any prospective entrepreneurial ideas.

Sri Misra advised students to have courage to dream, courage to take risk, courage to fail and have the requisite grit and passion to pursue the dream.
