The first phase of Marketing Premier League started on 2nd November 2011 in ISME, Bangalore which continued for two days. Marketing Management students came up with an idea of a product and the detailed market analysis of it, giving the classroom marketing concepts a practical edge.
Prof. Marya Wani, supervised the whole event, and the students came up with presentations and the promotion ideas of their product, explaining every aspect regarding the product concept, market scenario and executive analysis. Prof.Nitin Garg and other faculty members were also present for the event and there was an active interactive session for each product idea between the students and the faculty members. The innovative ideas and the market research done by the students were at display, giving students an industry view for the marketing students. It was the initial round of the MPL, which is to be followed by the whole week of promotion of the products by the students, preparation of the project report, and finally the product launch exhibition.
Theoretical marketing and sales concepts came in the form of practical industry prototype, through this event, which in continuing this whole week with the campus buzzing with the new product sales promotions through advertisements including websites and other media. There are titles to be won, which includes “Best Product”, “Best tagline”, “Best Logo” and the “Best idea” making students walk that extra mile for the best performance in this event.
